El Jefe is the true taste of Tex-Mex located in Jacksonville’s historic Murray Hill neighborhood. A casual eatery offering up bold flavors, the menu emphasizes traditional recipes and authentic ingredients from US-Mexico’s borderland cuisine. From nachos to tacos, quesadillas, enchiladas, burritos, chimichangas, and more, the entire menu was specially curated by award-winning Chef Scotty Schartz and Chef Jose Solome. Schwartz’s search for the “perfect nacho” including a pilgrimage through Texas to explore the region's best Tex-Mex cuisine inspired him to open El Jefe.
